So I´m not going to Spanish school anymore. This is not by choice but by necessity. Since I am working for Tono in Guatemala city, I do not get back until 5:30 or so and am usually more or less exhausted from the camioneta experience. I usually just get home, eat dinner, and chat it up with Stella and family…
So I am speaking Spanish in the office, but I still need to speak in English from time to time when things are important (more often than not they usually are).
Hopefully, if I can work more in Antigua, I wil be able to get a tutor (usually cheaper than school and most also work in the schools anyways)
It told me that comments were closed in the previous post so…
“he has me designing the flooring in his house, geometrically analyzing ancient mayan artifacts ”
You are working for Guatemalan Brent Porter?
Seriously though, its good that you’re working with an architect on things.
yah….. it happened to me too…. i guess we are not allowed to make any comment for the previous one.. but no matter what. we can still leave message here.
bob, you work hard! which is good! i guess. no school, i don’t think it’s a bad thing actually. since you need to work, you will learn how to say something more professional also. such as “circulation” or whatever. like how i learn english, actually most from school. but i also miss a lot of part since i do not really growing up here, and don’t really hang out with people after school, so that i do not know almost any slang…but i think it’s still ok tho.
well, good luck with all of your stuff.
love you, sab
Fiorenzoli actually…
Never had Fiorenzoli, so I wouldn’t know, but Brent Porter LUVS ancient geometry…just saying.
Part time with Tono and part time with Stella might be the best solution.
A comment on what you have learned about being happy…..ah, a life lesson?
about your last entry…wow, talk about going with the flow! I’d be like ” ummm.. i think I’m ready to go home now” It’s so great you’re hanging in there. Sounds like you need a bike or a scooter. Or is that just asking for trouble?
A bike or a scooter seems like a bit of a death wish, the traffic here is pretty bad. I´m in the process of working out a better system, so hopefully the commute situation will be a bit better in a few weeks…
Maybe you just need to make your own bus schedule. I think that your experience with the Jeep may actually qualify you to drive a camioneta.
